Food has always been a big part of Daniela’s life. After studying at The Institute of Culinary Arts at Spier in 2000, she worked her way up the culinary ladder and eventually opened her own restaurant “Daniela’s” in Knysna, which was voted in the top 100 restaurants in the SA Wine Magazine in 2006/2007. Food photography is a hard nut to crack, but with a rich background in food and with the knowledge that capturing these images is a hard-earned specialised skill, Daniela has successfully married her gastronomic love with her passion for being behind the lens. Because of her background as a chef, Daniela understands the sensory journey from sight to taste, and it shows in the mouth-watering food photography she produces.
